Before you dive in…

It’s VERY important to me that you know one thing about my philosophy about my writings here at Married to a Chef.

I know this goes against what those who teach business marketing would say, but I feel like I’m going to BUST if I don’t say this any longer.

So I got to trust my gut on this one.

Marketing gurus say to appear as the expert. Talk with authority so that your target audience (YOU) would begin to build some trust in me and what I have to say.

Well, you know what? (Drum roll please)

I’m not an expert.

Yup.  I’m just one woman who happens to be married to a chef, who is experiencing the same things that you experience, who happens to have this calling to want to help others work through their own resentments and frustrations, the topics that block us from feeling happy and successful in our relationships and our everyday lives.

I’m not perfect. Neither is my restaurant relationship.

My chef husband and I are doing the work, right along with you.

I’ll never be an expert and you know what?

That’s A-OK with me.

See, we’re always changing. LIFE CHANGES. Who I was when I was dating my then chef boyfriend is different from who I was after we got married and now, that we’ve started our family (LOOK at our little boy Leonardo!), is different once again.

We change as life changes.

My obsession, the reason why I created this website and the reason why I am a coach is NOT because I have all the answers.

(I don’t.)

I simply trusted my own gut to need to find you, and in that decision I grabbed onto the healm as the captain of this ship. That said, I believe YOU are just as valuable in what your experiencing than what I’m sharing. We are more alike than different. I am happy to share what does (and doesn’t) work for me, and also want to hear what does (and doesn’t) work for you. I’m constantly looking for ways to find out what it takes to THRIVE in this type of relationship and then sharing it with all of you. If you discover something that works, please… let us all know!

Please feel free to share your experiences in the comments, on the Facebook page, or as a GUEST on the blog.

I know what it’s like, and since I happen to be a decent writer, (a chatty Cathy to boot!) I am able to articulate what most of you are feeling. (Because I’m feeling it too!)

Yes, I am a coach. This is part of my plight (and my business)

I am able to help my clients move forward because I most likely understand what their experiencing, what frustrates them, and I can use my coaching tools to help them get from where they are to where they want to be.

Like a mechanic who fixes cars, he has to PICK UP a tool to fix it. It doesn’t mean that HIS car doesn’t break down from time to time.

He just knows what to do when it does.

As you read WHATEVER I write on here… It’s important to me that you KNOW, really know that in NO way do I think I have the answer FOR YOU.

I don’t live your life. You do.

I don’t have the answers… YOU DO.

*I stand behind that and would love to prove it to you.

What’s most important to me is that you receive what I’m saying and mold it to work FOR YOU.

If you don’t like what I’m saying/suggesting, then use it not to tell me off, but to figure out what it is that DOES work for you.

To motivate and INSPIRE you.

In the upcoming months, I’m going to be creating my first products, videos and programs to hopefully help us go even further in our relationships and in our lives.

I’ve only just begun with my mission here, barely scratched the surface, So it’s important you know that wherever WE go together on this journey, you know that I’m figuring it out with you.

And damn proud to be, because…

We’re all in the SAME boat.
